China’s exceptional pandemic management uplifts peoples’ trust to 98 percent

Kathmandu, May 14. A recent survey published in The Washington Post claimed the Chinese government was able to build high trust among the citizens through its extraordinary performance in COVID response and management. 

The research conducted by Canada’s York University hired more than 600 students from 53 universities to take one-on-one interviews with 19,816 people across China. 

The survey showed that the peoples’ trust towards their national government has reached 98 percent. 

49 percent of the respondents opined that their trust towards the levels of government has increased since the beginning of the pandemic.
