Sichuan donates medical supplies to Nepal
Kathmandu, May 29: The Consulate General of Nepal in Chengdu has received 100 thousand masks and 1000 Protected Suites from Sichuan Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Chengdu AIDI Eye Hospital amidst a handover ceremony held in the hospital premises on Friday.
Consul General of Nepal Dinesh Kumar Ghimire thanked the donors for the much needed support at this hour of need. He also expressed confidence that the recent opening of the Consulate General in Chengdu will further increase cooperation in the health sector between the two countries.
According to a press release by the Consulate General of Nepal, CEO of the hospital Zhang You expressed hope that the donated medical supplies will help in Nepal’s fight against COVID-19.
