Kathmandu, January 22. Indonesia has been hit by an earthquake on Saturday.
The 6.1 magnitude earthquake had an epicentre 39 km southeast of Melonguane town in Talaud district.
According to Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the earthquake struck at a depth of about 12 km under the seabed.
The exact time of the first wave was in the morning on Saturday 22 January 2022 at 9:26 am Jakarta time (08:11 am Nepali Time).
No casualties and damages have been reported so far.
