Kathmandu, April 30. Elon Musk has sold $4 billion of shares of Tesla. It is presumably for the purchase of Twitter.
The sales was reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday. The world’s richest man tweeted that he doesn’t intend to sell any further shares.
Tesla’s shares are down by 17% this year.
Twitter agreed to be acquired by Musk on Monday for $44 billion. Analysts have said that Musk will be distracted by Twitter and be less engaged in Tesla.
It is expected that Musk will borrow around $25.5 billion from banks as well, for the takeover of Twitter.
