Hollywood actor gifts his Oscar to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy: Watch
Kathmandu, November 9. Hollywood actor Sean Penn gave his Oscar to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He gave it during his visit to the country’s capital, Kyiv.
While Zelenskyy shared the moment through his Telegram account, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko shared the video on Twitter. The Internal Affairs minister wrote, “Sean Penn has given his Oscar to Ukraine – @ZelenskyyUa Thank you, sir! It is an honor for us.”

Moreover, Penn is also known for his political activism besides being an actor. Earlier, he threatened that he would destroy his Oscar if he wasn’t allowed to speak to Zelenskyy during the recent Academy awards event.
In an interview in March with CNN, Penn spoke regarding his meetings with Zelenskyy and said was impressed, moved by him.
