Kathmandu, Dec 29: The trial in the extortion case involving cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is set to continue today in the Kathmandu District Court. The proceedings, which have been ongoing for several days, have been put on hold until today as arguments are yet to conclude. Senior advocates, including Shambhu Thapa and Raman Shrestha, presented their arguments in the previous hearing, but Shrestha’s presentation is expected to continue on Friday.
The trial, presided over by Kathmandu District Court Judge Shishirraj Dhakal since last Sunday, is closely watched as it addresses the extortion charges against the cricketer.
