Gujarat Takes Lead in Donations for Ayodhya’s Grand Ram Temple Construction
Ayodhya, Jan 12: As the inauguration of the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya approaches, preparations are in full swing for the historic event on January 22. The Ram temple construction, funded by devotees of Lord Rama, has seen generous contributions from across the country, with Gujarat emerging at the forefront of donations.
The Sri Ramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust has amassed over 5500 crores in donations for the temple construction, with notable contributions from two prominent figures in Gujarat. Morari Bapu, a revered spiritual leader born in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, has made the largest individual donation, offering a substantial amount of 11.3 crore rupees.
Morari Bapu’s commitment to the cause extends beyond India, as his followers from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom have collectively contributed an additional 80 million rupees. The spiritual leader’s dedication underscores the widespread support for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Following Morari Bapu, another influential figure from Gujarat has stepped forward with a significant contribution. Govindbhai Dholakia, a diamond businessman and owner of Sri Ramakrishna Exports, has donated 11 crore rupees to the temple construction. Known for his philanthropy, Govindbhai Dholakia annually surprises his employees and their families with lavish gifts during Diwali.
His substantial donation for the Ram temple underscores the broad support from Gujarat, emphasizing the diverse contributions coming from different sections of society to make the dream of a grand Ram Mandir a reality in Ayodhya.
