Nepal Announces Final Squad for T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Oman

Kathmandu, Oct 3: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced Nepal’s final 15-member squad for the Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers in Oman, with leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane included in the team.

The squad will be led by Rohit Poudel, with Dipendra Singh Airee serving as vice-captain. Head coach Stuart Law finalized the lineup by excluding Saheb Alam, who had featured in the series against the West Indies.

Lamichhane, who faced disciplinary issues during the recent three-match T20 series against the West Indies in the UAE, has been retained in the squad.

The Nepali team has already arrived in Oman, with the qualifiers scheduled to begin in October. The squad includes Rohit Poudel (captain), Dipendra Singh Airee (vice-captain), Sandeep Lamichhane, Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Kushal Malla, Nandan Yadav, Aarif Sheikh, Bhim Sharki, Lalit Rajbanshi, Gulsan Jha, Lokesh Bam and Pratis GC.
