Kathmandu. Earlier this week, the Government of India, currently led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) issued and enacted new laws and amended some old laws within Indian-administered Kashmir. Two days later, on Thursday, a group of terrorist opened fire at a car carrying Fida Hussain, general secretary of the BJP Youth Wing along with two other members, Umer Rashid Beigh and Umer Ramzan Hajam.

They were immediately taken to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead upon arrival, and the Resistance Front has taken the responsibility for the attack. They are believed to be a sister organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

On his Twitter handle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the killed members of his party were bright youngsters, who were doing excellent work in Kashmir. He also claimed that the perpetrators of the “barbaric terror attack” can not be spared.

Rebels have fought against Indian laws in Kashmir since 1989, and tens of thousands of people, rebels, and security forces have been killed so far.
