NC office-bearers meeting today to discuss 14th general convention

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party, has called a meeting of its office-bearers today to discuss upon the upcoming 14th general convention of the party and other relevant political issues.
The meeting is being held at the party’s central office at Sanepa at 1’o’ clock in the afternoon. The office-bearers, former office-bearers and some central members will be participating in the meeting, NC chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel informed.
The meeting will also hold discussions on the letter, demanding “a fair general convention as per the party’s legislation,” submitted to the party President Sher Bahadur Deuba on September 28 by senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel.
NC has called its central working committee’s meeting regarding the 14th general convention on November 6. Though the party has made its 14th general convention’s date public (Feb 19-22, 2021), members opine that the corona effect will probably lead to a change in the schedule.
