Two rockets fired at Israel from Gaza, Israel retaliates
Kathmandu. At least two rockets were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip on Sunday, as per the claim made by Israel’s Defense Forces in a tweet.
The two rockets hit the southern Israeli city of Ashdod and central city of Rishon LeTsiyon, as stated in the tweet. No further details were given about the attack. The defense forces expressed in a statement that the airstrikes had taken place early morning on Sunday but no casualties had been reported. The security forces were said to be investigating the matter, according to the defense forces.
A news report from Haaretz states that the military has struck Hamas targets inside the Strip in retaliation, hitting an underground facility and military positions, after discovering that the rockets did indeed belong to the militant organization.
