Kathmandu. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has issued “School Operating Framework 2077 BS” which allows the local government to have control over the reopening of the schools in their area.
Earlier, on March 18, when the Covid-19 pandemic began appearing in Nepal, the government had decided to close all types of educational institutions across the country to minimize the spreading of the virus.
Four months later, the Council of Ministers ordered the Ministry of Education to set down the framework for schools to re-operate.
The Framework is targeted at making the teaching, learning, examination and evaluation systematic and safe during the pandemic. Also, provisions have been made for the flexibility in the operation of the local-level school programs.
