Georgia votes recounted: Trump loses as Biden leads by 74 Electoral Votes

Kathmandu. Joe Biden, the President-Elect of the United States of America, won the 2020 Presidential race by a considerable margin, and with a record voter turnout. He secured most of the key states and that set Donald Trump’s campaign on a desperate hunt to reverse the victory by pushing forth claims of ballot fraud.

The President, Donald J. Trump who went to court in Georgia for a recount in electoral votes has finally officially lost the state. Joe Biden won a total of 306 electoral votes while Trump garnered 232 electoral votes.

A statement from the Office of the Secretary of State confirmed Biden’s victory in Georgia as reported by CNN. In Georgia, Biden defeated Trump by 12,284 votes. Officials have repeatedly stated that the recount and scrutiny of the vote proved that there was no rigging in the election. Georgia will now verify the election results by Friday.

“Georgia’s historic first statewide audit reaffirmed that the state’s new secure paper ballot voting system accurately counted and reported results,” Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a member of the GOP, stated.

Georgia is generally considered to be a Republican stronghold, and Biden successfully flipped the state on this Election.
