Kathmandu, December 21. United States President-elect Joe Biden has decided to punish Russia over the recent cyberattacks in government offices. After Biden takes over the office on January 20, it is said that he will take over a lot of decisions including those of recent cyberattacks.

While President Trump has said that it could be the move of China, Secretary of State, Pompeo has said that Russia definitely has hands in the cyberattacks. According to an article in The Guardian, the new administration of Biden could come in with counter cyber-espionage, with the aim of decreasing the potentials of Russian cyber spying.

Six different United States government agencies have been victims of the cyberattacks since March, and officials are hoping for a stricter and effective response so that Russia does not repeat the wrongdoings.
