Nepal Government decides to conduct labor agreement with Israel
The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday has decided to go ahead and sign the labor agreement proposed by Israel.
The agreement would see Nepalese caregivers traveling to Israel in order to work in hospitals, nursing homes or day care centers. It is to be done on the basis of ‘G2G’- or government to government engagements, which is going to oversee 500 nurses being sent in the first year. Previously, caregivers mostly used to work in household settings.
People who complete the necessary requirements of a caregiver will be allowed to apply for the job. As per the requirements, the candidates will have to show that they have completed their intermediate levels in school, have no criminal records, they should have completed three months of training in the field, be fluent in the English language (both written and spoken) and fulfill certain prerequisites regarding height and weight.
