Another 2440 confirmed corona positive, 19 died
Kathmandu. On Monday, 2,440 people were infected with coronavirus across the country. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam informed of the increment through a regular press conference. The total of COVID-19 cases has reached 89,263 across Nepal.
So far, 65,202 people have been discharged including 1,133 in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Currently there are 23,507 active cases and 4,033 people are in quarantine.
1,531 new cases of infection were recorded in Kathmandu Valley today. The Ministry states, 1,178 new cases have been reported in Kathmandu, 250 in Lalitpur and 103 in Bhaktapur. In the last 24 hours, 13,781 people have tested for the virus through PCR method.
19 people have died in the last 24 hours, with which the number of deaths from COVID-19 in Nepal has reached 554.
