Commercial banks to close all branches during Dashain holidays

Kathmandu. The Commercial banks have decided not to open their branch offices during Dashain. There had been a practice of operating some branches in the past to facilitate the customers during the holidays.
The banks had provided services through some branches last year. However, owing to COVID-19, the branches are being shut down during the Dashain leaves, according to Nepal Bankers Association.
Anil Sharma, executive officer of the association told that all branch offices of the commercial banks would be closed from October 23 to 27. As the banks have been promoting digital transactions for some time, the closure will have very less effect. He also urged the customers to use digital services during the pandemic
