Discussion held at Baluwatar to make Shankar Pokharel party General Secretary
Kathmandu. After the Finance Ministry was handed over to Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a discussion to make Shankar Pokharel, the new General Secretary of the party.
According to a source, Prime Minister Oli, Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokhrel, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Lumbini Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel and Gandaki Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung discussed the issue at a meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, on Thursday. Pokharel is a trusted aide of the Prime Minister as well as President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
He has been successful in resolving numerous disputes and has won the favor of all of the leaders. He was also successful in making his constituency as the state capital of his province. The source reveals that all the leaders in the discussion were positive upon the proposal.
