Kathmandu. Dr Rajan Bhattarai, foreign affairs advisor to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, has said that after some preliminary setbacks after the border dispute, Indo-Nepal relation has regained its earlier status.

Speaking at a program organized by Reporters Club Nepal on Monday, Dr Bhattarai said that the bilateral ties had returned to normalcy.  The meeting of the Indian foreign secretary secretary has ushered the tepid relationship to a warmer zone and  opened gateway for diplomatic meetings. A joint meeting between foreign affairs ministers of the both countries in December would take it to a better position, he said.

Explaining the turn of events, Dr Bhattarai told that bilateral relations have smoothened following a telephone call between the Prime Ministers of the two countries on August 15.

He noted that the government was maintaining balanced foreign relations with both its neighbors, considering the geo-politics of the region.
