Kathmandu, March 17. On Monday, the first China-Europe freight train connecting southwest China’s Chengdu and Russia arrived St. Petersburg.

The train carrying 50 containers left Chengdu from International Railway Port on February 21. After 22 days of travel, the train reached its final station for a key gas chemical project under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The freight train is expected to enhance the bilateral trade relations between the two countries as it has significantly reduced the travel time for commercial goods.
