Kathmandu, July 19. The Agriculture Knowledge Centre announced that the Nawalpur’s (Bardaghat-Susta East) annual paddy production increased by 400 metric tons this year.

Information Officer of the Centre Shanker Poudel said that the paddy cultivating area also increased from 620 hectares to 700 hectares of land this year.

The rise in production of paddy is found to be directly linked with the government’s new scheme “Paddy Block Programme”. Under the programme, farmers from Gaidakot and Kawasoti of Nawalpur received grants for growing paddy.
