Kathmandu, August 4. Elon Musk and his space company, SpaceX was broke at one point of time. He did not know how to recover it, then NASA stepped in.

NASA offered a $1.5 billion contract, which then saved his company. A video of Musk’s interview was shared on Twitter by Tesla owners of Silicon Valley. Musk reacted to the video saying, “It’s true”.

In his follow-up tweets, he has said that he has always loved NASA. He added, “Just want to say thanks to those in government who fight hard for the right thing to happen, despite extreme pressure to do otherwise. Therein lies the core goodness of the American state.”

It is not clear from the interview or from Musk’s comment on what was the contract for and when was it offered. But it could be during the initial years when the company was going through a rough patch.

It is said that Musk founded SpaceX to reduce space transportation and colonize Mars.
