Sudur Paschim’s Women Kabaddi team becomes National Champion
Kathmandu, December 12. Sudur Paschim Province has won the National Women’s Kabaddi Competition 2078.
Sudur Paschim defeated Lumbini by a substantial margin of 54-8 points in the competition’s final match, which was held on Saturday in Bateshwor rural municipality of Dhanusha.
Bagmati and Gandaki finished third in the competition. Along with the title, Sudur Paschim received a cash award of Rs. 150,000, while the second and third placed teams received cash prizes of Rs. 50,505 and Rs. 25,505 respectively, as well as a shield and certificates.
Similarly, Sunita Thapa of Sudurpashchim was named Player of the Match, while Nisha Bohara of Sudur Paschim was named Best Defender.
The competition, hosted by Bateshwor Rural Municipality and Shiv Shakti Youth Club Bateshwor, drew teams from all seven provinces, according to Madan Bishwakarma, coordinator of the competition publicity committee.
