Cambodian players win 28 medals at 11th ASEAN Para Games in Indonesia

Kathmandu, August 7.  At the 11th ASEAN Para Games in Solo city of Indonesia, Cambodia has broken its record by winning 28 medals.

General Tea Banh, Cambodian Defense Minister and the president of the organizing committee for the Cambodian SEA Games,  released the following statement on Sunday: “I’d like to express my sincere appreciation to our athletes for winning seven gold, ten silver, and eleven bronze medals, breaking our previous ASEAN Para Games medal tally records.”

Bahn added that the triumph proved that people with disabilities are not incompetent. “I want to implore everyone to pay more attention to and support those with disability.”

Bahn also announced that Cambodia will host the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games in 2023. “Phnom Penh’s Morodok Techo National Stadium will serve as the main site,” he said.
