Kathmandu, October 10. Russia on Monday attacked several cities in Ukraine. The attacks killed at least six people damaged several buildings and other infrastructures.

Russian President Putin said the attacks were in retaliation of Kyiv’s repulsion to Moscow’s forces and the recent attack on the Crimean Peninsula bridge.

Ukraine’s Emergency Service revealed at least 11 people were killed and 64 were wounded in the morning attacks. Further, the attacks have sent residents of Kyiv back to bomb shelters for first time in months.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said, “(The Russians) chose such a time and such targets on purpose to inflict the most damage.” He further said through Telegram that Russia is “trying to destroy us and wipe us off the face of the earth.”

Moreover, world leaders have expressed their concern over the incident. The G-7 is set to hold a videoconference on Tuesday.
