Japan’s State Minister for foreign affairs to arrive in Nepal for elections

Kathmandu, November 17. Shunsuke Takei, Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, is visiting Nepal to observe the November 20 elections for members of the Province Assembly and the House of Representatives.

According to a press release from the Japanese Embassy in Nepal, Minister Takei is scheduled to visit Nepal on November 20 to 21, 2022 to observe the elections.

Further, the Japanese government has supported Nepal’s elections, including sending an election observation team in 2017 under the direction of Mr. Horii Iwao, a former Japanese vice-parliamentary minister for foreign affairs. Moreover, State Minister Takei will be the highest dignitary to be dispatched as election observer from Japan to Nepal.

Additionally, Minister Takei will be paying courtesy call on high dignitaries during his visit.
