Kylian Mbappe Officially Joins Real Madrid
Kathmandu, Jul 16: French superstar footballer Kylian Mbappe has officially signed a contract with Real Madrid. After announcing the signing last month, Real Madrid made the formal agreement today.
Mbappe underwent a medical earlier today and was presented to fans at Real Madrid’s stadium. The 25-year-old joined Real Madrid on a free transfer and agreed to a salary of 15 million euros annually, which is 10 million euros less than his salary at PSG. Despite the pay cut, Mbappe will still be the highest-paid player at Real Madrid and will wear the number 9 jersey.
Reports indicate that while Mbappe’s transfer was free, Real Madrid will pay him a signing fee of around $110 million. Real Madrid has been pursuing Mbappe for the last seven years.
Mbappe initially joined PSG on loan from French club Monaco in 2017 and became a permanent player in 2018. During his time at PSG, he scored 256 goals in 308 matches.
