China and Malaysia to work towards enhancing bilateral relations
Kathmandu, May 22. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin through a video link on Friday. Both leaders agreed upon strengthening bilateral ties between the countries.
As the world is continuously fighting the covid pandemic, Li agreed upon the point that the international community should work for anti-pandemic co-operation. He said that Malaysia is the first country to sign an intergovernmental cooperation agreement on COVID-19 vaccines and make a reciprocal arrangement for vaccination with China.
Li said China is willing to enhance cooperation with Malaysia in the fields of vaccine production, health department, trade, investment, digital economy, manufacturing among various other sectors.
Malaysian PM Yassin also said that Malaysia is ready for co-operating with China in various sectors and they will ensure that Chinese citizens in Malaysia are vaccinated. He also said that Malaysia is ready for Chinese enterprises to work and develop the country.
