Water leak at JF Kennedy Airport, 300 flights cancelled

Kathmandu, July 5. More than 300 flights were delayed or diverted on Saturday evening when a water leak was reported at one of the control towers of the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

The disruption at America’s busiest international airport affected more than 3.7 million passengers over the Independence Day weekend holiday.

JFK airport is the biggest air passenger gateway into North America. More than 90 airlines constantly link the airport with all six continents. In 2019 alone, the airport handled 62.5 million passengers.
