Cycle Tour for Makwanpur and Sindhuli Forts

Kathmandu, March 7. Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Environment on Saturday organized a 131-kilometers cycle tour from Makwanpurgadhi to Sindhuligadhi.

The event is aimed at promoting the preservation of the historical sites and domestic tourism in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati province. Provincial Chief Minister Dormani Poudel flagged off the cycle tour by handing over the cycle and national flag to world famous cyclist Puskar Shah. 

122 cyclists, including 3 women took part in the 2-day tour that will end today after reaching Sindhuligadhi. Yesterday night, the team had slept overnight at Hariharpurgadhi in Sindhuli.

A budget of NRs 1.1 million was allocated by the ministry for the event.
