Government to print “excise duty stickers” at Panauti IT Park

Kathmandu, January 13. Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has directed to print excise-duty stickers in Nepal.  

Inspecting the security printing press going to be installed at the Panauti-based IT Park on Thursday, Minister Sharma asked the Security Printing Press to provide the stickers necessary for the Finance Ministry immediately. 

“The Ministry needs around three billion stickers. How many machines are required to print such quantity of stickers. I request the concerned to install the machines immediately by importing them”, he shared. 

The Finance Minister mentioned that he has got the information that the machine going to be installed at IT Park would print everything except currency notes.  

Pointing out the need of printing the safe stickers, he expressed the belief that the printing centre would address the need for it. 

The Ministry collects around Rs 100 billion revenue from exercise-duty stickers.
