Mauritius National Football team honored in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, February 3. On Wednesday, the Nepal-Mauritius Business Council honored members of the Mauritius national football team and delegation.

During a special ceremony in Kathmandu, Honorary Consulate for Mauritius Ganesh Karki officially honoured the players and the manager of the National football team of Mauritius.

The Mauritian team played friendly game with Nepali footballers at Tripureshwor’s Dashrath Stadium on Saturday. Bimal Ghartimagar scored a goal for Nepal in the 55th minute, which proved to be the game-winning achievement. Karki opined that a friendly match between Nepal and Mauritius would strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

Karma Tshering Sherpa, Chair of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) who was invited as a guest to the ceremony, added to Karki and said that the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to grow through the medium of sports.
